Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) began as a way for us to learn how to appreciate our differences and work better together toward a future that is equitable and inclusive for all.
Platinum Parking’s diversity initiatives are applicable, but not limited to our practices and policies on recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; transfers; social and recreational programs; layoffs; terminations; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of gender, diversity, and equity that encourages and enforces:

- Employer and employee contributions to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for diversity.
At Platinum Parking, we are driving purposeful change that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our team, where all voices are valued and heard. Our workforce is a vital part of our culture, and we celebrate our differences. More than words, we believe action is what creates lasting and meaningful change.
To foster inclusion in the workplace, we offer Lunch & Learn and Conversation Corner during employee meetings to open the dialogue and share stories in a safe space. Additionally, we recognized the importance of making our team members feel valued and motivated toward a shared purpose. Today, we provide recognition to our employees in the form of SHARP awards, work milestones, anniversaries, and more.
Next, we worked to ensure that communication from leadership trickled down to all employees—from the office to the garages. Text messaging groups and a monthly DEI calendar were implemented to ensure employees stay in-the-know about important dates and education opportunities.
Fostering volunteerism is another component of our DEI strategy. We aim to encourage camaraderie among coworkers through volunteer activities that benefit the communities we serve.
At Platinum Parking, we need diversity to reach a diverse market. We aim to build a team that is made up of people with different experiences, backgrounds, and skills. Satisfied employees who understand the importance of inclusivity can better serve the public, as they value cultural differences, diverse perspectives, and the ability to continuously learn and engage with a variety of individuals.
